“Our friend was throwing a ‘Friendsgiving’ potluck in 2019, and it was a great evening of thankfulness and frivolity—adult beverages and all,” says Brianna B., Green Bean Catserole’s mom.
She continues, “Halfway through the evening, a tiny feral cat decided to invite herself [over]…. She entered through the open front door, and all the party guests decided the host needed to keep this cat. (Did I mention that adult beverages were involved?) Ultimately, she now resides with us … it’s truly a happy ending for everyone!”
Like her namesake dish, Bean has a crispy exterior that hides her softer personality. “She’s got this tough guy attitude, which cracks me up, because she’s this teensy tiny cross-eyed thing … but she’s also really sweet and cuddly,” Brianna says. “She’s a total momma’s girl. She plays and purrs and chirps.… I love that she can be both tough and sweet.”
Green Bean Catserole’s entry into Brianna’s life may have been a surprise, but her mom is ready for anything with protection from Nationwide pet insurance. Brianna says, “We work hard to be able to provide a happy and healthy environment for them, and knowing that we have pet insurance is another layer of protection.”
